About the Speaker
Jill Krowinski of Burlington was elected Vermont Speaker of the House on January 6th, 2021. She is the 92nd Speaker and fourth female Speaker of the House.
Jill has served in the House since 2012 and was elected as House Majority Leader in 2017. Krowinski has experience working at non-profits and serving on community boards. Jill has served as the Executive Director of Emerge Vermont, an organization dedicated to increasing the number of Democratic women in public office through recruitment, training and providing a powerful network.

This past legislative session, $15 million was appropriated to a fund to help give Career Technical Education Center students around the state hands-on experience.
Friday afternoon, the first project of the program was announced in Newport,
where students at the North Country Career Center will be fixing up a vacant farmhouse.
"It's a triple win. We’re growing the workforce, we’re building housing, and we’re giving people skills that they need," said Rep. Jill Krowinski, the Vermont Speaker of the House.
